Hey Gang - Don't say I don't post!...
AND THE JAMMY GOES TO.... ARG!!!
(Andrew Gregoire) AAC alumni, artist, musician... renaissance man! As our last Jammy winner, Andrea had the daunting task of selecting her winner from the massive number of submissions for her “creatures” theme. Nicely done Andrea!
As for the day - we hadda great turn out including a number of former students (always amazing to see`em!) as well as a number of AAC bound AFD students!!!... a fantastic mix!
The Market was okay, but I think we'll shoot for a more artist friendly venue next time`round. I personally got to actually draw (thought I forgot how for a bit there) End of day arrived and we filled (and I mean FILLED!) the Flatiron & Firkin , and a few of the hardcore Jammers stayed until last call. All in all - A GREAT JAM!
Thanks to one and all for coming out in full force on such a crumby weather day and making it a day/night/...early morning... to remember... mostly :)
(pics to follow)
Congrats to ARG on a well earned victory!
Cheers! - Graves
PS - Stay`tooned for the Winter Jam date.
Hey there Fellow Jammers!
Well there's another one in the books... The record books that is! - Just a quickie to thank all of you who came out on mass to Jam this past Saturday. It was a PHENOMENAL turn out. The "after-Jam" was rammed at The Fox & Fiddle. I would go as far as to say that we had a RECORD turnout. It was also quite incredible seeing the cross section of participants who turned out ranging from first semester students to AAC Grads who came back just for fun and to reunite with former classmates and faculty! It was FANTASTIC to see you all out. Also I'd like to give a special "shout out" to our very own"ZUB'"for his constant support of the Jam and for takin' on the Karaoke duties yet again this year - ALWAYS SUCH A BLAST! The spirit of this event is alive & kicking! NEXT JAM: APRIL 25th/2009
I'd especially like to thank all of you who made such generous donations to the upcoming March trip to The Dominican Republic, via the purchase of Sketch Jam buttons at $2.00 a pop (many of you donating considerably more) You are doing some real good for some communities that really need it - Thank you. After the March trip gets back, I'll post pic's so you can see what you helped do. In closing, I'd like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break (play safe)... See you in 2009!
Stay`Tooned - Graves
